Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott delivered an unforgettable performance on Friday night at the Essence Festival of Culture 2019 in New Orleans’ Superdome. The show was nothing short of spectacular, featuring guest appearances by Trina and Monica, multiple costume changes, elaborate staging with graffiti panels, dancers in silver costumes, and pyrotechnics.
Elliott performed a career-spanning set including hits like “She’s A Bitch,” “One Minute Man,” “I Can’t Stand the Rain,” “Lose Control,” and “Hot Boyz.” The performance culminated with Elliott stepping into the audience during “Lose Control,” creating an intimate moment with the crowd while cameras captured every second.
