Grammy-winning engineer Paul Falcone brought The Celebration of Mimi tour to Singapore, mixing Front of House for Mariah Carey at the Arena @ Expo — the Lion City’s go-to concert venue on the east side of the island.

October 8, 2025 — Arena @ Expo, Singapore 🇸🇬

Presented by Ovation Productions, the sold-out Wednesday night show marked Carey’s first Singapore appearance in seven years, drawing a 6,600-strong crowd for a 90-minute career-spanning set. The Straits Times called her “a well-oiled machine who breezed through her hits” — from early classics like “Vision of Love” and “Emotions” through the R&B era of “Honey” and “Heartbreaker,” to Emancipation-era anthems “We Belong Together” and “It’s Like That,” plus four tracks from her new album Here For It All.

The PA system featured L-Acoustics K2 mains (20 per side) with K2 outfills (12 per side), ground-stacked KS28 subwoofers (8 units), and Kara frontfills (16 units). Falcone delivered the FOH mix on a DiGiCo Quantum 7 console, while monitor duties were handled via DiGiCo SD10. Mariah’s vocal chain remained consistent with the tour standard: DPA 2028-B-SL1 capsule on Shure Axient AD2 transmitter. Nearfield monitoring utilized L-Acoustics 108P speakers paired with an SB18 subwoofer.

FOH processing centered on dual Bricasti M7 reverbs, with system management handled by dual L-Acoustics LM44 processors running Smaart v9 with Earthworks M30 reference microphones. Digital processing utilized Waves SuperRack on a Titan SoundGrid server with Mercury and Studio Classics bundles, networked via DiGiGrid MGB and Netgear GS108V4 switch, with host machines including MacBook and Mac Mini. Full multitrack capture was handled by Pro Tools Ultimate (128 channels) on Apple Mac Mini/Mac Studio with Blackmagic Dock and 2TB SSDs. Timecode distribution utilized Horita TR100. Separate independent rigs running AlphaLabs DeFeedback and LiveProfessor with LiquidSonics Seventh Heaven reverbs rounded out the digital signal chain.

On the analog side, with conversion handled by Ferrofish, Falcone introduced processing by Empirical Labs Distressors, DBX compression, SSL channel strips, and both 500 series modules and full hardware versions of Bettermaker compressors, allowing for snapshot recall of analog compression. The rig was rounded out with MIDI interfaces by iConnectivity, switching by DirectOut, and timecode distribution by VisualProductions TimeCore.

A spectacular night as Mimi’s legacy lit up Singapore.
